The Anibild-Air® Winder Rig X&Y by Animation Toolkit is built for animators who need precise, repeatable, frame-by-frame movement when bringing characters, props and objects to life.

Designed and manufactured with stop-motion production in mind, the Anibild-Air® Winder gives you smooth, controlled linear motion across both the X and Y axis, making it ideal for flying rigs, character support, object animation, subtle performance adjustments and delicate on-set moves where accuracy really matters.

At the heart of the system is a precision winder mechanism where small turns of the thumb knob translate into controlled movement along two 200mm carbon steel racks (up and down). This gives animators the ability to make tiny incremental adjustments between frames — perfect for achieving smooth arcs, subtle lifts, controlled pushes, drifting motion, or carefully planned animated movement.

For 2026, the Anibild-Air® Winder Rig has been updated with a new heavy-duty base and integrated rack bracket, designed to help prevent the rack from twisting mid-shot. This gives the rig greater stability during animation and helps reduce unwanted movement when working on longer or more demanding shots.

The rig also features a built-in ¼ inch camera / C-stand mount, allowing it to be attached directly to a camera head, tripod plate, magic arm or C-stand with ease. No additional rig clips or specialist brackets are required — making it faster to set up, easier to position, and more adaptable on set.
