ABOUT JOINTS & ARMATURES

The size reference (3mm-12mm) is the actual ball size. The balls are 6mm diameter and come with a 3mm pre-drilled hole (un-tapped) and are hardened stainless steel. The plates are precision laser cut, black anodised mild steel stock. The Armature FX Ball Joints are studio quality.

Need for soldering:

The pre-drilled stainless balls enable you to solder 3mm rod into place and connect to additional balls as and where your designs suit. Please note, we reconmend hard silver soldering only. Take advantage of the Armature FX brass connecting boss system and build yourself a puppet in no time.

 Note:

Only 1 x Joint per purchase. Brass conecting bosses and steel rods are not included. Clearance ball joints (unthreaded) and singular balls are also available from our store, along with steel rod (threaded and unthreaded).

Illustration shows a variety of Armature FX joints and parts combined to make a full humanoid armature. Ball joints have been polished for illustration purposes only - all joints will be supplied anodised black to prevent general corrosion.
