MANIMATION RETURNS TO MANCHESTER ON 20 NOVEMBER 2014
Spotlight on Manchester’s animation sector during
one-day animation event
9 October 2014 – The Children’s Media Conference has teamed up once again with MIDAS, Greater Manchester’s inward investment agency, to run a one-day event on 20 November in Salford under the banner of Manimation - Manchester’s Animation Festival.
The daytime event is designed to inform companies and freelancers about key factors for success in working in animation, Visual FX, commercials, corporate, interactive, games, Apps and virtual reality. Speakers will include broadcasters, commissioners, buyers and animation experts.
The daytime sessions will be followed by a networking evening and keynote speaker.

Manimation is the Manchester Animation Festival. The inaugural festival took place in 2013 and was attended by over 100 businesses involved in animation and children’s content creation. Past speakers have included The Simpsons writer Josh Weinstein, as well as from the Disney Channel and Disney XD, Cosgrove Hall Fitzpatrick and CBeebies, CBBC, S4C and MacKinnon and Saunders.
Manimation 2014will be managed and curated by The Children’s Media Conference (CMC), the acknowledged leader in events for the children’s content and animation industries.
